Keeping a Large Group Together

The hard part of a big night out is not finding a venue. It is not losing half of them by midnight.

Large groups fail in predictable ways. The venue cannot seat everyone, so the group splits across three tables and two floors. Half of them drift to a different bar. Somebody spends the evening on the phone trying to reassemble the party. By one in the morning what started as twenty people is three separate evenings.

The solution is a room rather than a reservation. White Chocolate has six private salons and the larger ones comfortably hold around twenty, which means the group arrives, sits down together and stays that way.

One Room, One Evening

A salon large enough for the whole group is worth more than a better location, a better bar or a better night of the week. Everyone is in the same space, latecomers know where to go, and the group does not fragment.

For stag and hen weekends, birthdays and company groups this is the single most important booking decision.

Book Well Ahead

Larger salons are the first to go, particularly at weekends and throughout December. A group of twenty is not something we can usually accommodate at short notice on a Saturday.

Call as early as you can with the date, the headcount and the expected arrival time. The more warning we have, the better the room we can hold.

Brief the Group Before You Come

Two things reliably cause problems with large groups at the door: the dress code and the age policy. We are strictly 18+, and smart dress is enforced - no sportswear or trainers.

With twenty people, it only takes two who did not get the message. Tell everyone in advance and the arrival is straightforward.

Frequently asked questions

What is the largest group you can take?

A single salon comfortably holds around twenty. Larger groups can sometimes be split across more than one salon - call with your numbers and we will tell you honestly what is workable.

How far ahead should a large group book?

As early as possible, particularly for weekends and December. Large salons go first and short-notice weekend bookings for twenty are rarely possible.

Can the group arrive at different times?

Yes, and a reserved salon makes it much easier since latecomers have a fixed place to find. Give us a rough arrival window when you book.

What should we tell the group before we arrive?

Two things: strictly 18+, and smart dress with no sportswear or trainers. Both are enforced at the door, and with a large group it only takes a couple of people who did not know.

Do you take stag and hen parties?

Yes, by reservation and within our dress code and house rules. Call ahead rather than arriving unannounced with a large group.
