Tauron Arena Kraków sits in Czyżyny, east of the city centre, and is the largest indoor venue in Poland. Concerts, handball, boxing and basketball all pass through it, and every event ends the same way: a very large number of people spilling out at once, most of them with no plan for the next few hours.
White Chocolate is a short taxi ride away in the Old Town, at ul. Św. Tomasza 16. Six private salons, seated, warm and open until 05:00 on Fridays and Saturdays - which is precisely what a crowd that has spent three hours standing tends to want next.
Getting Into the Centre
The Arena is east of the Old Town and connected by tram and by road. A taxi takes a short time outside the immediate post-event crush, though it is worth walking a few minutes away from the venue before ordering one.
Trams run into the centre and are usually the faster option in the first half hour after an event finishes.
A Seat After Three Hours Standing
The appeal after an arena event is straightforward: somewhere to sit, somewhere warm, and somewhere you can hear the people you came with. A private salon covers all three.
Concerts finish around ten or eleven, which leaves several hours of our night still available - considerably more on a Friday or Saturday.
One Thing to Check
Our dress code is smart. Band shirts, sports colours and merchandise from the show will not get through the door, which regularly catches out groups arriving directly from an event.
If the Arena is your evening's first half, plan a change of clothes. And call ahead - a large group arriving unannounced at eleven is difficult for a venue this size.
Frequently asked questions
How do we get from Tauron Arena to the Old Town?
Tram or taxi. The Arena is east of the centre in Czyżyny. Trams are often faster in the first half hour after an event, when taxi demand peaks.
Can we come in concert or team merchandise?
No. Our dress code is smart and band shirts, replica kits and sports colours are not admitted. Plan a change of clothes if you are coming from an event.
Will you take a group arriving late after a show?
If you have called ahead, yes. Unannounced large groups arriving at once are difficult for a small venue, so a phone call makes the difference.
How late are you open?
From 20:00 nightly. Closing 03:00 Sunday to Wednesday, 04:00 Thursday, and 05:00 Friday and Saturday.
Do you show sport on screens?
No. We are a club rather than a sports bar and there are no screens in the salons.
