Karnawał runs from 6 January to Shrove Tuesday, and it is the one season in the Polish year when dressing properly for a night out is not merely tolerated but expected. Balls, dinners and long evenings pile up across those weeks, and the city visibly changes gear. People make plans further ahead. Coats come off to reveal something considered.
White Chocolate sits comfortably in that season. The whole room was built around the idea that an evening should feel like an occasion: white leather, black velvet, gold light under a brick vault. During carnival it simply stops feeling like a contrast to everyday life and starts feeling like the correct setting.
A Room That Rewards Dressing Up
There is a particular disappointment in getting properly dressed and arriving somewhere that does not match the effort. Our basement is designed so it does. Brass fittings catch the light, the marble bar reflects it back, and the salons are lit warmly enough to be flattering rather than clinical.
The dress code is smart. Nothing punishing, but carnival is not the season for trainers and a hoodie, and most guests arrive glad they made the effort.
Longer Nights, Slower Evenings
Carnival evenings tend to run longer than ordinary ones. Groups arrive earlier, settle in properly and stay put. That suits a venue with six private salons far better than it suits a room where everyone stands. You get a base for the night rather than a spot you keep having to defend.
Planning Across the Season
Because carnival is a season rather than a single date, the busy nights are spread out. Weekends fill first, and the last weekend before Shrove Tuesday is consistently the heaviest of the lot. If your group has a fixed date, call early; if you have flexibility, a midweek carnival evening is noticeably calmer and the salons are easier to secure.
We are open nightly from 20:00 throughout the season, running to 05:00 on Fridays and Saturdays.

Is there a stricter dress code during carnival?
