At the door there are two checks: age, with identification requested regardless of how old you look, and dress. Smart is the standard - no trainers, sportswear or shorts. Neither check takes long if you were expecting them.
Inside
A vaulted brick cellar, low warm lighting, white leather and black velvet. There are six private salons off the main room, which is where most groups spend the evening, and a bar with a strong line in chocolate-led cocktails alongside a full range.
There is a stage and an evening programme rather than a large dance floor. Sound levels stay conversational, which is deliberate and is what most guests come for.
