Galeria Krakowska sits directly beside Kraków Główny station on the north-eastern edge of the Old Town, which makes it the arrival point for a very large share of people coming into the city. It is also where a lot of evenings begin by default, simply because it is where people happen to be standing when the shops shut.
White Chocolate is a short walk from there. We are at ul. Św. Tomasza 16, inside the Old Town proper, which from the Galeria is a few minutes on foot through the Planty. Far enough to feel like you have arrived somewhere, close enough that luggage or a late train is not a problem.
The Walk From the Galeria
From the shopping centre you cross into the Planty, the green ring that surrounds the Old Town, and continue toward the Main Market Square. Św. Tomasza runs roughly parallel to the northern edge of the Square, crossing Floriańska on the way.
It is a straightforward walk of a few minutes and well lit throughout. Most people find it easily even on a first visit.
Convenient for Arrivals and Departures
Being close to the main station has practical consequences. If you are arriving in Krakow in the evening, we are reachable without transport. If you have an early train the following day, getting back is equally simple.
It also means a group arriving from different directions can converge easily, since the station is where most of them will land.
A Change From the Shopping Centre
The contrast is the appeal. Galeria Krakowska is bright, modern and enormous. Five minutes later you can be one floor below street level in a vaulted brick cellar lit by Edison bulbs, which is about as different as two rooms in one city can be.
